The Center for the Study of Political Graphics
3916 Sepulveda Blvd, Ste 103, Culver City, California 90230

CSPG invites you to hear Wendy Murray, visiting artist from Down Under, share her provocative poster art and give an introduction to the stunning tradition of Australian political graphics, including the work of Redback Graphix, Jake Holmes, Tin Sheds and the Western Sydney screen print shop Garage Graphix.

Wendy is a political poster artist and arts educator who was born in New Zealand, and has been based in Sydney, Australia since 2000. For the past two months Wendy has been in Los Angeles, completing a residency at The International Printing Museum in Carson, CA, and doing additional research at CSPG

Wendy's graphics use playfulness and the power of language to target diverse local and international issues including alienation, poverty, and the environment. Her most recent work exposes the frightening but seldom discussed health dangers of mining crypto currencies such as bitcoin.
